building work management maturity

there is no point in having the most advanced cmms around, unless your teams have the knowLEDGE and discipline to use it correctly

Increasing your organisation’s work management maturity will ensure your maintenance strategies are executed as intended, resulting in a more effective maintenance structure, a more reliable fleet and reduced operating costs.

Quite often there is misalignment between senior leaders and execution teams, resulting in a lack of engagement between organisational levels and less than desirable outcomes for your fleet performance, people, and ultimately the bottom line.

Work management maturity requires rigor in the application of your companies CMMS (computerised maintenance management system). At EAS we can assist with improving your execution team’s application and use of your existing software.

how we can assit you

Assessing your current level of maturity

The most accurate way of assessing your organisation’s maintenance maturity is to spend time working with your team to gain a clear understanding of how they interact and conduct work in alignment with an asset management framework.

What we strive for is to understand what you as leaders in your organisation believe to be the critical areas that require improvement. To do this we take the following approach:

  • Consult leaders in your organisation to understand their specific needs and perspectives
  • Review your organisation’s current asset management and maintenance management frame work
  • Work alongside leaders and team members, observing current practices being applied in the work place
  • Establish the desired outcome you want from your CMMS and the level of maturity that exists in it’s application
  • Report on assessment findings with gap analysis and recommendations

Our approach to assessments

We have two overarching areas that we focus on during any review of the maturity of your organisations work management.

  • Organisation defined: Most leaders know full well the areas that require improvement in the organisation. We respect and understand this, making our areas of review solely aimed at the areas you deem them to be required.
  • EAS defined: We take on full responsibility of assessing and reporting back to you on the areas that would yield the greatest value for improvement. Under this approach a full diagnostic is completed on your maintenance management framework and culture of your workforce.
We also study the cultural drivers that create your work management maturity. These are the drivers that create and sustain how your employees will adopt and use your work management framework for years to come.

sustainable improvement plans

From these assessments we formulate a strategic improvement plan that caters to your individual needs as an organisation. This approach is focused on addressing the following requirements:

  • Specific to your organisational needs
  • Tailored to suit the depth and level of maturity improvement you desire
  • Duration specific – We can deploy short term improvement plans focused on the “critical few” or long-term highly evolved cultural improvement strategies
  • Customer satisfaction – We are not finished until you see the improvement you desire from your teams

Our approach is founded on spending personal time with your teams, at an execution level, when they are performing the work. Our team’s background is trade based work management execution and leadership, so we understand how to build effective relationships and working cultures, dedicated to the improvement of your business.
